The 90's, baby

I’m calling public notice to the 90’s coming back full force. With the last Fashion Week, we saw so many 90’s silhouettes. From a bit of shoulder pads, to fanny packs, to the checks. Flashback to the 1995 film, Clueless, and relive Cher Horowitz’s moment in a full yellow check ensemble.

While I might not be on board with a yellow checked matching set, I am on board with the earlier. If you read my What I Wore in NYC, you would’ve seen where I talked about purchasing the item I’m featuring today—THE fanny pack. I hope it goes without saying, but a fanny pack can easily be worn by women and men. I went a little lavish with this one, but I wanted it so badly and I’ve saved for a bit (including cutting out numerous $5 coffees a week.)  Regardless, I finally bit the bullet and bought this Gucci fanny pack from the Marmont collection. I usually wouldn’t do a post on an item just to show how I styled it, but in this occasion I made an exception because I’m just too pumped about it. As you can see, there are two ways to wear it— around the hips or cross body (sort of.) I also think this fanny pack would be a staple for any festival you guys might be going to and would add the certain something you’re looking for, not to mention it’s great storage. I can easily fit my iPhone X, cardcase, headphones, a snack, and sunglasses in it.

Together I think everything works out quite nicely, but I know some of the options I chose might be to out there for some and just not applicable for everyday wear. However, anything could be switched out for something way easier, the cords for jeans/jean shorts or mules for sneakers.

Now for the shopping

The links are on the images, so if you want to check them out just click! For the most part it's all unisex, just check out your size measurments to find your size. Belt bag wise, I got the 85cm and I have a ~29 waist. For the mules I picked a Gucci size 8, but I usually wear a US size 10 or a European 42.

Some of the above links are affiliate links, However, I am not paid to post any of the above. This does not affect the price of the item for you as a customer, it just means a small percentage of the sale may go to the person who generated the link. Thank you for your support.
